Spotted this wee fellow scurrian aboot on this boat in Pittenweem a couple o' years ago when on holiday there

wid be fine for keepin yer feet warm in the bunk eh.

Ye widnae hae ony taes left tae warm if yon lad got intae yer bunk !!!

that wee fellow is on the seaspray now sold to port seton this year

Is there ony left in the pier in Oban Ronnie?

Cannae say I've heard onybody speaking aboot them or seen yin for years Jim.Time was ye could have got as many as would have made the wife a fur coat,but all the fish frames that used tae be chucked ower the edge o' the pier are away for creel bait now,if they've nowt tae eat they'll no hang aboot very long...Changed days in Oban,I'm afraid it's a "fish market" in name only now.I dinnae think that it's ever seen a box of fish actually auctioned (Come back Jackie Scott...he could sell a fridge tae an Eskimo yon man !!)

Jackie is still on the go Ronnie he is sectretry of our local branch of the
Scottish White Fish Producers Assoc. He bides in Elgin I see him quite often fin we ha meetings He hisna changed nane still likes a wee dram

They broke the mould when they made him Cyril,as salesmen go,he was the pick of the crop.A larger than life character only half describes him !!

aye he is one of the best Ronnie it didna matter fit time you put in a link call through Oban Radio day or night if we were wantin onthing he always got it for ye and he was on the pier fin ye came in

Very obliging man right enough Cyril,never did anybody a bad turn,and did plenty folk guid turns.The kind of lad ye wid trust wi' yer wallet (but nae wi' a half bottle !!) Tell him I was asking kindly for him.
