That was steaming in to Bunessan at night,and after tailing all night (only three of us aboard)we still hadnae cleared it up by the time we shot again.If that had been the South Firth in later years,all these pingers would have been skipped intae boxes for the paella and we would have been off the deck in half an hour

Many a night we were glad to tie to Robert Millers mooring bouy when we went into Bunessan when we were prawning the last couple of years that I was at the sea . I didna like tailing prawns I used to get fed up and go below and leave Slater and the rest of the boys I think they dumped more than they tailed when I wisna looking

Better off wi' a deck full o' whitings and haddies than yon "ruskoline" Cyril. A mair brain numbing job never existed than sitting all day tailing wee drossy prawns.

that`s where you made all your money!-just like sitting on a pile of pound notes!
