Re: St.Abbs harbour
Jim you are right I remember both of them they were still In Lossie and Nairn in the early 1950s
Kia Ora was built by Dunn Lossie 1934 for A.Campbell Lossie
Sea Scout was built by Watt Banff 1933 for J. Main Nairn
The Sea Scout was the same model of boat as the Heather and the Gracie

Re: St.Abbs harbour
No many of that line up still on the go apart from the Rachael Douglas and Lively Hope. The Bethel was sold for conversion,so maybe she is still "alive". The Kia-Ora was de-commissioned,Sea Scout was re-named "Bella"and sank in the Fleetwood area in the ?80s? Davey Jones or the chain saw probably got the rest of them(D.J. certainly got the Emulate)!!

Re: St.Abbs harbour
There were a few of that style in Eyemouth at the time Cyril. The Victory,Oceanic and Mary Swanston are the ones I remember, probably all BK registered, maybe one of them.Ye need a Heymooth mannie tae gie ye the answer, nae a Dunbar man lol....I should have double checked before I posted, the Oceanic was INS 71 and the Victory was INS 37,so it's no them,so possibly is the Mary Swanston.

Re: St.Abbs harbour
There was a boat called Good Fellowship Bk 172 built in Peterhead 1947
I think that is that boats number But I can not make it out right
It could be the Mary Swanston BK 170 Ronnie

Re: St.Abbs harbour
Name doesnae ring a bell with me I'm afraid Cyril, must have been before my time. The name and number are still going in Eyemouth on the ex Sunset A430.The boat in the photo looks ower straight in the stem for a 1947 build does she no? The Mary Swanston was that older style too, I think she was a 1930s build, but I couldnae swear to that. (I've been wrong plenty times before,so I'd better no stick my neck oot too far on this yin !!)
